Bellefonte Red Raiders win round 1 of the District 6AAA playoffs over the Lewistown Panthers. May 15th 2009

This first game of District 6 AAA took 2 days to complete. The firs one and a half innings were played Thursday before being stopped due to the weather. The Raiders opened up the game with a strong first inning scoring 6 runs. Seth Tressler started the 1st with a walk and advanced to 2nd on a single from Ethan Kline. Matt Fisher got the first RBI of the game bringing home Tressler with a double.Bryant James added to more runs with an RBI double of his own. The Raiders would add the last 2 runs with the help of a balk and yet another double, this time from Matt Watson. The Panthers would get their first run of the game off a wild pitch by Seth Tressler in the top of the second. The Raiders would get that run right back with their first of 3 home-runs of the game. The first to strike was Kline who lead of the 2nd inning. Fisher has his second double of the game and would later score off a single from Frank Parkes. Tressler started of the 3rd inning with home-run and would be the last of the scoring until the top of the 6th when the Panthers scored their final run of the game. The Raiders would add 2 final runs in the bottom of the 6th win Fisher starting the inning with a home-run. The last run came when Parks doubled and was then brought around with a single by Eric Regel. Final Score Bellefonte 11 Lewistown 2
